Penny came all the way from Cyprus to study in Wales. I met Penny on one of my trips back to Wales, Cardiff. Such a delight to work with and so cheerful. We went to one of my favorite locations in Wales. This was Penny's first time being a model in front of the camera, though not her first time being in the spotlight as she has competed in gymnastics on a professional level and still continues to take interests in sports.

Tribal Sun & Northern Winds

In late January, I met up with Tine, it was my first time working with her and she was so lovely to work with. It was a little limited as to where we could go for the shoot but luckily found a hot spot. We did a photowalking portrait session and during our talks I found out that she was leaving for portugal in two days time! Great thing we booked the shoot just in time.

I used some smoke at the end of the shoot ( had a lot of trouble lighting those suckers up and when they did start smoking, the wind picked up and blew it the wrong direction.) You cannot really see the purple smoke because of the sun, which is a real shame. However, I've found some other more realiable smoke generating tools that I'm trying to get  :)

Styling: I dressed her in a casual tribal style, with some old antique persian jewelry, did a smokey grey/black/green shadow glitter, with some fake lashes to really bring out her eyes. I simply messed up her hair slighty, making it more casual. Would have loved to make some tribal markings or use prominent lashes with patterns on them like so:

But it was all very lucky to even get that day together to shoot so it was rather hectic. Regardless, she looked the part and played it out really well. Kudos to Tine for enduring the cold with me!
